The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Alternative Investment Funds accounting team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional accounting and administration servicing for our clients' assigned hedge and private equity funds. As a Fund Accountant, you are the face of our quality control and excellence deliverables by serving as the official record keeper for the funds.

The Cash Administration Supervisor in the Alternative Investment department is responsible for ensuring the successful and accurate processing of daily wire payments on behalf of SEI's clients. This individual must also train and supervise Cash Administration Analysts and strictly enforce the departmental policies and procedures required to service alternative funds.

What you will do:
  • The main and most important duty of this position is ensuring the successful processing of wire payments for investor money movement, expense payments, and fund of fund investments via online banking systems as well as a few different internal systems. It will be your duty to review the daily work performed by analysts on the team. In most cases you will be the last person to look at these payments before they leave the client's accounts. Being able to work quickly while maintaining a very high level of accuracy will be of the utmost importance. You will need to strictly adhere to established policies, procedures and controls as it relates to money movement for SEI's clients.
  • Other duties include, but are not limited to overseeing the coordinating of new account set ups for clients. In this role you would work directly with SEI's clients as well the respective banking institutions.
  • In the supervisor position you will work directly with other teams at SEI as well as external clients and banking institutions to ensure accurate and timely processing of all payments.
  • You will work closely with the manager of the team to ensure all team members are properly trained on systems, processes, procedures, and core job responsibilities.
  • In the event issues arise you will be expected to find prompt resolution or elevate to more senior management. In the event of repeat issues you will be expected to work with management to work on eliminating the underlying causes.

What we need from you:
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to train analysts on Excel concepts.
  • The self-motivation and drive to learn new systems, concepts and broaden knowledge in the industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support our clients through email and/or phone calls.
