Overview

The Senior Proposal Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of proposal opportunities in the Federal IT market. The selected individual will have positive ambition, a strategic mindset, an ability to lead and work autonomously, and enthusiasm for achieving results in a dynamic work environment, often involving simultaneous proposals with quick turn deadlines.

The Senior Proposal Manager will work closely with the Pyramid Nexus, Business Development, Executive Leadership, and the full range of company staff in leading and overseeing the development and submission of winning proposals. The candidate must possess superior attention to detail, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and expert editing abilities.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven process that yields proposal success! Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends may be required.

This is a 100% Remote / Telework Opportunity!



Responsibilities

    Analyzes Requests for Proposals/Information/Task Orders (RFPs/RFIs/RFTOPs) to extract Government requirements and create requirements driven outlines and compliance matrices.
  • Develops and manages proposal schedules and milestones for simultaneous efforts.
  • Prepares for and leads proposal kick-off meetings and daily/regular proposal stand-up meetings with proposal contributors.
  • Attends Industry Days and Pre-proposal conferences for opportunities as required.
  • Ensures meeting action items are completed within the required timeline.
  • Works with Technical Writers and SMEs to develop compliant and compelling outlines for technical and other required proposal volumes.
  • Provides direct guidance to team members assigned to write proposal content to ensure development of compliant and compelling proposals.
  • Oversees and provides direction to the work of subcontractors during the proposal process.
  • Prepares and provides data calls to teaming partners related to reps and certs, technical approaches, past performance, etc.
  • Schedules and facilitates solution design meetings with the Pyramid Nexus organization and Solution Architects.
  • Develops proposal-related questions for submittal to customers.
  • Works with the contracts department to submit questions and proposal responses to the Government.
  • Tracks final submission of proposal and maintains historical trending data of full proposal lifecycle results using corporate tools and systems.
  • Facilitates timely responses to Proposal Evaluation Notices (ENs).
  • Monitors Beta.Sam and GovWin for Final RFP releases, amendments and updates and provides prompt notifications to proposal team members.
  • Distributes and analyzes Government answers to questions, ensuring incorporation of any necessary updates to compliance matrices, outlines, approach, etc.
  • Prepares for and executes proposal color team reviews.
  • Lead Red Team proposal reviews based on the Government's evaluation approach of measuring Strengths, Weaknesses, Risks, and Deficiencies.
  • Supports oral presentation preparation and slide development.
  • Leads and is responsible for proposal production when required.
  • Facilitates lessons learned meetings at the end of each proposal effort to drive continuous process improvement.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the management of Federal proposal development.
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Possesses proactive communication skills in face-to-face and remote team interactions.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to meet high quality standards.
  • Able to produce exceptional work and coordinate others under tight deadlines and changing proposal circumstances.
  • Able to accept constructive feedback in a positive and motivating manner.
  • Able to prioritize multiple assignments and demonstrate organization throughout.
  • Expert in the Microsoft Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Word copy editing and desktop publishing.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Formal proposal training (Shipley, APMP, Lohfeld, or similar) or certification in proposal management.
  • Understanding and familiarity with Federal procurement including the FAR.
  • Experience managing RFIs, RFPs/RFQs and IDIQs/BPAs of various sizes and volume including coordination with sub-contractors and internal stakeholders.


Target Pay Range

The below listed pay range for this position is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
