The Berkeley Lab's Engineering Division is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technologist to provide advanced technical support for electronics systems at the Advanced Light Source (ALS). The role involves designing, fabricating, and installing complex electronics equipment, as well as developing prototype models for large-scale manufacturing. The technologist will also manage integrated control, instrumentation, and communication systems. This position requires the ability to work the ALS shift schedule, which consists of a rotating cycle: seven days on, four days off, and seven days on, three days off, across three shifts. Salary: Electronics Engineering Technologist Level 2:The hourly range for this position is $34.36 - $49.83. The hourly rate for this position will be commensurate with the final candidate's qualifications and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, certifications, plus also aligned with the internal peer group. Electronics Engineering Technologist Level 3:The hourly range for this position is $41.77 - $60.55. The hourly rate for this position will be commensurate with the final candidate's qualifications and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, certifications, plus also aligned with the internal peer group. Electronics Engineering Technologist Level 4:The hourly range for this position is $48.02 - $69.63. The hourly rate for this position will be commensurate with the final candidate's qualifications and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, certifications, plus also aligned with the internal peer group.
