Description & Requirements
The Strategic Pursuits Manager works with partners and senior client service professionals across the firm to manage the firm's most significant proposals. As a member of the National Proposal Team (NPT), this individual will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of select Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Requests for Information (RFIs) responses, proactive proposals, and statements of qualification. How you will contribute:
- Collaborate with Partners and Managing Directors, client service professionals and business development executives to develop compelling and winning materials.
- Work with NPT operation specialists to compile strategic insights that inform pursuit strategies
- Utilize story telling techniques to construct proposals and supporting materials in a captivating fashion.
- Develop customized content, including win themes and differentiators, for deliverables, and impact pursuits.
- Leverage prior experience and leading practices to coach team members in preparation for oral presentations
- Complete opportunity debriefs, sharing key takeaways and areas for improvement with leadership.
- Team with industry, LOB and business development leaders to ensure alignment with go-to-market strategies including prioritization of impact clients and targets and go/no go policies.
- Work with the national proposal team leadership team to scale best practices across industries and LOBs.
- Collaborate with the proposal content team and SMEs to translate technical topics into digestible and compelling copy.
- Identify new mediums and innovative approaches to connect with key decision makers.
- Champion firm processes to help mitigate risk and ensure brand and style guidelines are adhered to.
- Mentor members of the NPT on large, complex and global pursuit strategies.
- Work with other internal team members to promote a collaborative culture, elevate the firm's brand, and deliver an Unmatched Client Experience

- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to work effectively in highly matrixed organization
- Self-motivated and able to work on deliverables with limited supervision
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 20% per year
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism or Communications is required; a graduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- 5 years or more of relevant experience in business development or marketing within professional services (e.g., accounting, consulting, legal) or financial services
Preferred Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in business development or marketing within professional services (e.g., accounting, consulting, legal) or financial services.
- APMP and/or PMP certification is preferred.
