We are currently seeking a Mainframe Engineer - Remote to join our team in Dayton, Ohio (US-OH), United States (US).

Job Description:

The purpose of this program is to provide system sustainment, maintenance, and modification of the Stock Control System (SCS). The D035 is a suite of systems that provide key functionality to the Air Force and other Government agencies in Asset Management.

SCS controls the allocation, storage, movement, and financial inventory accounting of Government-managed materiel; provides supply support to depot maintenance facilities at the ALCs, provides asset visibility of managed items and provides optimal distribution/redistribution of stock through the leveling processes.

Job Duties:

• Tier III Engineering support for SCS IBM mainframe applications written in JCL, IDEAL, ASSEMBLER, COBOL, and CICS to support CRs, DRs, SRs, and addressing technical debt.
• Maintain, sustain, and modify the software applications for SCS using documented software engineering practices, as documented in a Software Development Plan (SDP) Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) A004.
• Develop, operate, and maintain applications, models, and databases to determine optimal solutions for integration concepts and problems integral to the integration process.
• Support the modification of Help applications when implementation of DRs, SRs, upgrades, and CRs necessitate a change to the training software.
• Support the development and review of Interface Control Documents (ICD) using Corporate Data Repository System (CDRS).
• Perform Tier II help desk support for issues that are technical in nature for SCS mainframe applications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 7years of mainframe experience (COBOL, JCL, IDEAL).
• Bachelor's degree orequivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to pass a Tier 1 NACI investigation
• US citzenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Assembler and C++
• Functional experience with Air Force IT Logistics & Financials, Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps Asset Management & Financials, and Retail & Wholesale Supply
