Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $19.33 - Midpoint: $24.18 (Hourly N5) Department/Organization: 508111 - Capstone Village Assisted Living Normal Work Schedule: Varies Job Summary: The LPN facilitates quality patient care within the scope of licensure. Additional Department Summary: The LPN provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by resident assistants. Administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, obtains specimens as needed, and completes documentation as required. Required Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Alabama in good standing. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen. Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of the Alabama Department of Public Health Rules & Regulations for Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living Facilities. Knowledge of DETA Care and Dementia in the elderly. Knowledge of the DTA Brain Series. The Pharmacological Management of Dementia, and the Dementia Assessment Series provided by the Dementia Education and Training Act Program, or equivalent training approved by the State Health Officer. Must be able to read regulations and write clearly. Must be able to communicate in courteous and friendly manner. Ability to effectively manage and direct subordinates. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, including experience and awareness of the needs of Geriatric Residents.
