Job Overview

The Room Service Host will be responsible for delivering patient & family meals in a courteous and timely manner and participate in lining, passing, and picking up patient trays. The Room Service Host will also be responsible for handling cash pertaining to guest and visitor trays.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION - High School diploma or equivalent
  • EQUIVALENCY - Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE

  • No direct patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

  • Distribute patient trays in a friendly & courteous manner. Follow proper isolation procedures including, but not limited to verifying two patient identifiers
  • Assists in distributing room service menus on patient trays and to ISS stations.
  • Talk with patients & families to ensure necessary room service ordering support.
  • Help coworkers as needed to maintain quality & efficiency of department
  • Assist Expeditor and Cooks to stock refrigerators, bases and lids for patient trays, and paper goods as needed
  • Line patient trays and assemble flatware while keeping host area clean in compliance with Joint Commission/Tri-County.
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
  • Utilizes the Tray Monitor System ensuring all meal delivery times are logged and that patient meals are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Diet Office and/or management when additional service recovery is needed or a safety concern occurs.
  • Communicate with RN's when needing assistance delivering to Red or Pink isolation rooms.
  • Pick up soiled patient trays, adhering to the daily pick up schedule, to be returned to the dishroom for sanitation.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $32,818.07 to $49,227.11
Hourly Salary Range: $15.78 to $23.67

As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance. If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April.

Children's Colorado delivers annual base pay increases to eligible team members based on their performance over the previous year.
