This is the full performance level for the occupation. Receives contaminated semi critical reusable medical devices in the decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment as well. Disassembles the devices and determines the correct cleaning method. Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all processes and equipment. Additional Information

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Perform equipment inventory to verify quantities on hand in the department and on units. Deliver clean equipment and picks up dirty equipment as needed and as directed. Orders patient specific rental equipment. Assists in various projects involving department. Meets minimum department productivity standards. Understands customer needs, expectations, and performs appropriate customer service. All personnel who are involved in reprocessing of devices are responsible for following the department policy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) drafted in accordance with the manufacturers written recommendations. Sterile Processing and Infection Prevention Control should be consulted when clarification of written instructions is needed. No one should be reprocessing any reusable medical devices based upon vendors verbal instructions alone. All personnel that are in any way involved in reprocessing of devices must have documented training in the setup, reprocessing and maintenance of specific equipment. Validation of competency will be done according to national policy guidelines. All personnel that have the responsibility of reprocessing devices can suspend the use of any devices if they suspect that the device was not properly cleaned, disinfected. Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $31,561.73 to $47,342.60Hourly Salary Range: $15.17 to $22.76 Benefits Information As a Children's Hospital Colorado team member, you will receive a competitive pay and benefits package designed to take care of your needs that includes base pay, incentives, paid sick leave and a robust wellness program. As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance. If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April. Children's Colorado delivers annual base pay increases to eligible team members based on their performance over the previous year. |
