Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for Rutgers Student Health.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides confidential and administrative support to the department staff.
  • Provides overall administrative/programmatic support to the Associate Director and Senior Program Coordinator and all CAPS staff including doctoral interns on a daily basis which consists of approximately 55+ staff members.
  • Provides guidance on continuing education processes for all staff.
  • Tracks analytics and provides reports from social media and website usage.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function.

Certifications/Licenses
  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good communication skills and computer literacy specifically with MS Office.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to compose correspondence and statistical reports, perform multiple tasks with multiple interruptions, maintain even temper, problem solve and perform tasks independently.
  • Ability to carry small-medium cartons for courier/mail services.
  • Ability to multi-task and embrace change.
  • Ability to answer phones cordially and provide customer service assistance with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to proofread, compose routine correspondence and reports; work under constant deadlines and maintain a detail-oriented approach to each task.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative function in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiencies in the development and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
  • Previous experience working with management preferably within higher education.
  • Ability to exercise exceptional discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in dealing with sensitive issues and information.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a team member.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with social media and analytics.
  • Ability to be comfortable working in a hectic environment with multiple interruptions.
