DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for providing document retrieval services essential for enrolling customers in the REAL ID program. Your duties will include retrieving documents from various storage formats such as microfilm, microfiche, CD-ROM, and the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). This position operates within a confidential and time-sensitive environment, necessitating meticulous organization and maintenance of documents and images within the Bureau's storage library. You will utilize the electronic retrieval inbox to manage and return requests to the initiators, as well as operate a fax machine for communication purposes. Document retrieval will be conducted using identification numbers associated with Driver Licensing or Motor Vehicle (WID) systems, and you will be expected to have a solid understanding of transaction codes related to the DL and CARATS systems.
Additionally, you will maintain a daily production report detailing the number of requests received, processed, and any carryover. It will be your responsibility to identify and report any issues with microfilm rolls or microfiche to your supervisor, as well as troubleshoot problems with images from the EDMS. Proficiency in operating and maintaining the Minolta MS-6000 through a PC interface is required, along with performing minor troubleshooting and reporting any significant issues to your supervisor. You will also be tasked with querying the computer master file, interpreting vehicle record data, filing original documents by year and day, logging incoming microfilm rolls, and assisting in the research of misfiled rolls and records. Furthermore, you will provide guidance to other departments regarding the necessary transaction codes for record retrieval.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
- During peak seasons, must be available for overtime hours to alleviate workload. Performs other related work duties as assigned.
