Your Role

Mission:

Develop sales channels (dealers and rental companies) with the goal of increasing market share and sales volume forAtlas Copco small/medium portable compressors and hand toolproducts in the designated territory ofSan Francisco and surrounding areas.Implement actions that result in sustainable, profitable growth that is in-line with overall company objectives and goals. This entrance into sales channels along with our world-class customer service are paramount in accomplishing the company goal of becoming "First in Mind - First in Choice".

Roles and Responsibilities:

Key objectives:

  • Grow Atlas Copco small/medium portable compressors and hand toolproduct sales and dealer / independent rental market share in the applicable territory as directed by the management team
  • Perform effective sales and account management in the designated territory to best cover the market and the customers' applications and needs
  • Achieve strategic account penetration and development of key relationships to enable growth against the full potential of the visible and hidden markets
  • Work toward the long-term objective of becoming the single-source supplier for our complete and expanding equipment, service, and support offerings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve revenue growth and market share targets within designated territory
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with established customers through close management of accounts and attention to their needs
  • Assess and match customer applications with the equipment to maximize reliability and application success
  • Assist other team members with customer training or shared work to maximize the potential for revenue growth of all Atlas Copco Power Technique products
  • Introduce new products and manage demonstrations of application fit and performance with key customers
  • Assist the Business Development team and Regional Vice President by effectively performing regular analysis of the market condition and price levels, and competition activity
  • Work with Product Managers and management team to offer strategic programs for business development opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM system to prepare all new equipment sales proposals, maintain up to date status of pipeline development, business development activities, contact information, notes and any other relevant information
  • Always Represent the core values and culture of Atlas Copco

Travel:

Must be able to travel extensively throughout San Francisco and surrounding areas. Approximately 50% travel is expected, including some overnight travel.


To succeed, you will need

Experience:

This is an entry level position. A minimum of one to two (1 - 2) years of related work experience in capital equipment sales is preferred.

Education:

A four (4) year, bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or engineering will be beneficial with minimum of one (1) year of experience as described above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications/Licenses:
Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Skills:

Computer Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge of computer and smart phone applications including Microsoft Office Suite; experience and proficiency with CRM platforms is desirable.

Language & Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to read English, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and business correspondence as required to effectively convey meaning and influence.
  • Ability to effectively present complex information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.
  • Ability to solve problems and handle different situations where there are limited set rules.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

In return, we offer you

In accordance with California's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This position also offers a commission structure in addition to the base salary. The commission is based on sales targets and revenue generated with a goal to:

  • Provide a significant portion of the employee's total compensation
  • Motivate employees by providing the appropriate reward for the sale of all company products
  • Drive our most profitable business channel, in which Dealer development and Dealer focus is key.

The potential commission range for this role is $15,000 - $30,000 per year. The exact commission will depend on individual performance and achievement of set goals.
