Position Summary: The Admission Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks and response to initial inquiries associated with the admission center. Observes and after successful completion of the prescribed introductory period, answers calls from prospective patients from across the country in need of addiction treatment. Using focused listening, investigative, and communication skills the AC engages with prospective patients to identify their particular need and ultimately converts the call to an admission for the appropriate treatment solution. Thoroughly and clearly documents each patient interaction. Essential Job Duties: Answers phone calls, emails, chats and texts in a timely manner according to established guidelines, from prospective patients seeking mental health and/or addiction treatment, referral accounts, mobile assessors, and business development representatives in the field. UHS Who we are: One of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and health services, Universal Qualifications Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent Knowledge: Minimum of 6 months - 1 year of experience in transactional/relationship sales preferred. Skills: Shows genuine empathy for those struggling with mental health and addiction issues. Demonstrates excellent listening skills and the ability to recognize verbal and non-verbal cues. Consistently demonstrates through conduct and communication the stability required to credibly and effectively assist patients. Ability to inspire patient confidence. Has basic knowledge of psychiatric and addiction treatment and administration. Demonstrates ability to clearly and succinctly communicate in both written and verbal forms. Demonstrates an active desire to drive for results; steadfastly pushes self; consistently meets and/or exceeds goals. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands. Ability to remain calm and diffuse high-tension situations. Ability to exercise good judgment and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office software, and some exposure to CRM systems.
