Responsibilities
Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Essential Job Duties: Responsible for management of the rehabilitation services that include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech for assigned site. Participates in administrative activities including staffing, performance review, fiscal management/accountability, customer relations, quality monitoring/improvement, and program development/marketing. Within scope of service, evaluates, diagnoses, plans and provides quality therapy treatments that meet patient individual needs, are medically prescribed, and necessary using the standards of professional practice. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in in PT, OT, or Speech program, Masters preferred. Three (3) to Five (5) years of continuing advanced responsibilities in Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Speech Therapy (ST). Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience required. Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience highly preferred. Knowledge of treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. Knowledge of care treatment plans and EMR documentation Knowledge of Joint Commission regulatory requirements and other state and federal regulatory standards and laws. Current California License or eligible to obtain immediately after hire.
