Travel Therapist Opportunity

Assignment Details - Licensed Inpatient Therapist

  • Specialty: Behavioral Health
  • Location: Danville, VA
  • Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule
  • Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • Paid travel to/from assignment
  • Opportunity for overtime

Job duties to include:

  • Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team.
  • Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan.
  • Provide clinically sound individual, family, and group therapies within required time frames and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Provide treatment and case management activities to the patient, which may include individual and group therapy, linkage with community resources, and discharge planning.
  • Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Travel Therapist Job Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, or a related field required
  • Licensure/Certifications: ideal candidate will be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia; other considerations may include license eligible for Social Work or LPC in the state of Virginia
  • Experience: ideal candidate will have experience working with children/adolescents with Autism/Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and have Residential Treatment Center (RTC) experience; experience with co-occuring Severe Mental Illness also desired
