What's the role?

The role of Senior Analyst, Pricing & Analytics is to work directly with the MO (Market Organization) Director of Finance, Marketing team, CETs and Divisional managers to drive key pricing processes in the MO and to be responsible for orchestration of local pricing initiatives. Senior Pricing & Trade Analyst will be in close contact with different stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Global Business Units) to ensure we implement successfully MO pricing strategy with our customers; will collaborate closely with Regional Pricing Hub team as well as have touchpoints with pricing community for experience exchange and best practices.
Senior Analyst, Pricing & Analytics will provide trade marketing reporting and analysis and act as business partner for MO Marketing team.
Senior Analyst, Pricing & Analytics will be involved into developing training concepts and materials and conduct trainings for main stakeholders; requiring strong communication skills and the ability to translate conceptual thinking into persuasive, action-oriented recommendations, convincing based on competence, and interpersonal skills.

What does the role involve?
  • Provide reporting and analysis required by MO trade marketing team.
  • Translate strategic annual planning process for NSP (pricing) for the MO into a financial plan.
  • Partner with sales team in steering pricing of large projects and large & complex customers.
  • Review and coordinate LODs for large projects, actual vs plan analysis.
  • Analyze root causes for deviations; develop recommendations for adjustments, where necessary.
  • Collaboration with Marketing team (Market Organization and HUB) to define the level of max discount and peer price.
  • Set up and maintenance of pricing blocks in the system in cooperation with Hub Pricing team.
  • Maintenance of the profit calculators, tools (e.g. What-if tool) for sales force, in co-operation with Hub Pricing team.
  • Competence build-up for the sales force on general pricing policies and rules.
  • Daily interactions with the sales force on pricing requests.
  • Consulting sales force on best pricing and product portfolio strategies.
  • Analysis and evaluation of blocked orders.
  • Pricing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) steering.
  • Preparation of qualitative reports and a build-up of business case collection.
  • Involving Marketing (Market Organization and HUB) team into decision making process and ensuring constant feedback on improving price engine prices.
  • Sharing best practices across the region.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for this particular job posting. Please be advised that a different location may result in a different range. At Hilti, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 - $105,000, with bonus at target of $10,500 - $11,025.

What you need is:
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum five (5) years' experience, OR Master's degree with minimum three (3) years' experience, required
  • MBA with focus on finance or marketing strongly preferred
  • Excellent communications (written, verbal, interpersonal) skills, required
  • Excellent story lining skills and strategic thinking capability, required
  • Excellent computer software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint system), required
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, required
  • Advanced level knowledge in SAP/BI or comparable applications, required
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to solve broad range of challenges as they appear and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to explain pricing/financial concepts and details to different audiences in a cross-cultural, international environment
