Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Assistant.

The Project Assistant is responsible for providing a broad range of support towards the development implementation and success of projects within the Department of Plastic Surgery. Works under general supervision. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Non Traditional Volunteers corresponds with prospective NTVs and collects appropriate documentation for onboarding
  • Summer Research Program works closely with research team on cohort selection scheduling interviews setting up supplier profiles processing intern stipend payments
  • Research Fellowship assists with hiring onboarding and immigration processes related to fellowship
  • Grant support keeps grant related documents for research faculty up to date assists with administrative aspects of grant application process
  • Research support provides administrative support to research labs when needed Places supply orders set up recurring room reservations assists in operation logistics
  • Reimbursements manages reimbursement requests for faculty staff and residents in department
  • Performs general clerical duties photocopy fax mails and files etc as needed May order office supplies and organize department supply room
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent is required Minimum of 1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience Effective Oral written communication and interpersonal skills Computer Skills Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word Excel Power point and Access Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; Ability to access e mail electronic calendars and other basic office support software Ability to proofread documents and write clear concise 1st draft Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes Knowledge of standard office practices Ability to multi task while paying attention to details Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines multi line telephones fax machines

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,100.00- $56,371.78 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
