Position Summary
This position is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining Oil and Gas Land agreements for the Land department. The primary focus is to ensure provisions are accurately identified, obligation payments are met, and leases and contracts remain valid. This position will report to the Lease Record Manager and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyze, interpret, and maintain leases and contracts for operated and non-operated properties
- Review and input Leases and Contracts into the Enertia Land System
- Review of documents and supporting information to verify obligation payment for surface rentals, delay rentals, and minimum royalty payments
- Acts as liaison to Accounting, Marketing and Operating departments, when necessary, to respond to property related inquiries
- Monitor well production and coordinate with other departments to proactively avoid loss of acreage
- Determines working interests and burdens associated with interest based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase & sale agreements, probate documents, leases and royalty agreements
- Targeted maintenance of data and maintaining data quality
- Other duties as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of experience as a Lease Analyst
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be well organized and flexible
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, and telephone; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy, Technology, or related field
- Experience with the Enertia Land System
- Experience working with Indian, State, and Federal leases within the Williston Basin
- Experience and/or education in data analytics and management of large datasets
