Position Summary: Provides direct supervision of all matters pertaining to the Creative Arts present at YMCA Camp Cullen. Ensures that all necessary activity equipment is available and in good working condition for staff to use. Ensures that all necessary safety equipment is available and in good working condition. Supervises staff running arts activities and prioritizes the quality of programming for all arts activities. Assists in training staff to set up, run and lead arts activities. Maintains safe conditions for all land activity areas. Oversees the housing system, a method for organizing campers into certain sub-sections (Houses) of Camp Cullen allowing for subcultures to exist providing a unique experience for all campers. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes camper safety and engagement. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on youth development including the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith. Essential Functions:

Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time. Current record of tuberculosis examination and/or current local health department regulations, examinations, and/or immunization as required by the local or State Department of Health. The employee regularly is exposed to bodily excretions of children, depending on developmental level of children in the employee's care.
