Job Description:
PURPOSE According to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable federal, state and local regulations and under the general supervision of the Housing Accounting Support Supervisor, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing accurate, complete and timely administrative and accounting functions for National Church Residences Housing Accounting Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process Taxes - this involves but is not limited to - reviewing tax document to ensure its financial accuracy, obtaining signatures, logging, tracking and mailing; submitting information on-line; ensure assigned taxes are completed in a timely manner (990's, 1065's, 1120's, State, Local, City Income and Franchise Taxes)
- Submitting tax payments to Yardi
- Process Tax Notices
- Downloading and processing bank statements
- Processing reports for Audits
- Review of Audit Drafts
- Pre-Final/Final Audit Review
- Annual Reporting for Taxes
- Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Lender Reporting
- Report Monitoring
- HUD Reporting
- Cash Disbursement Research
- Audit Confirmations
- M File Maintenance
- Data Collection Forms
- Engagement and Rep Letters
- REAC Response Tracking
- Mail Distribution
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with Housing Accounting filing.
- Assists with data requests by staff.
- Assists with annual audit preparation work.
- Assists with special projects as needed.

- With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for residents/clients, reports all complaints made by residents/clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately.
- Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences' Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any department policies including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Some Accounting background preferred
Mental: Must have excellent organization, communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
