Join Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions as our Regional Sustainability Specialist for North America and be at the forefront of revolutionizing the water industry. As a Sustainability Manager, the position holder will be responsible for driving and executing the organization's sustainable development strategies and goals in the region to achieve and demonstrate a balanced positive impact of our activities on the environment, society, and the financial results. The Sustainability Manager for NAM will be responsible for strategic and tactical sustainability initiatives in the NAM region aligned with the WTS Global Sustainability Strategy. The Sustainability Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the company's sustainability journey in North America, ensuring alignment with global goals while addressing regional-specific challenges and opportunities. Key Characteristics:
Be the ambassador of Veolia GreenUp Strategy and multifaceted performance approach within the organization. Understand the global sustainability strategy and adapt to the regional needs and circumstances.. Lead current regional analysis of sustainability topics, competencies, tools needed, etc. Develop and implement a regional sustainability action plan support the regional teams on the different sustainability programs Represent the regional sustainability strategy internally and externally... Understand and follow the evolution of the sustainability Voice Of the Customer and influence the global and regional vision/ strategy. Value proposal creation for customers and the external market. Highly organized and able to project manage/ lead and collaborate with others on a matrix organization
Core Responsibilities
Establish a baseline and set priorities: Conduct a thorough assessment of the current sustainability performance across the region, including operations, supply chain, and product lifecycle. Identify key areas for improvement and establish a baseline to measure progress. Prioritize initiatives based on their potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with the global sustainability objectives.
Stakeholder engagement and communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities, to understand their sustainability concerns and expectations. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to raise awareness, promote sustainable practices, and foster a culture of sustainability within the organization and the broader community.
Collaboration and knowledge sharing: Foster collaboration with global sustainability teams and other regional teams to share best practices, leverage synergies, and ensure consistency in the implementation of sustainability initiatives across the organization.
Continuous improvement and innovation: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive innovation in sustainable practices, products, and services.

Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decision-making. Passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society. Ability to inspire and motivate others towards sustainable practices and behaviors.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as environmental science, sustainability, or business management. 5 to 10+ years of sustainability-related experience in developing and implementing sustainable practices for technology or engineering companies. Preference is a background in a B2B sector. The job requires up to 30% travel across our NAM sites Salary Wage: $145,000 - $155,000
