Pay



  • Starting at $26.00/hour, including a $3.00 shift premium for night shift

Job Summary

A Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Clerk is responsible for overseeing the procurement of MRO supplies and managing vendor relationships. The MRO Clerk plays a crucial role in optimizing equipment uptime, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall operational efficiency by ensuring that we have the necessary parts in stock by maintaining our set mins and maxes based off set order points.

Responsibilities



  • MRO Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for MRO supplies, including spare parts, tools, and equipment. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of MRO items.
  • Inventory Management: Establish and maintain an inventory of MRO supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to support maintenance activities while minimizing excess inventory. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement replenishment strategies to avoid stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure accurate documentation of work orders, this includes ensuring that parts taken out of stock are tied to the WO# that was provided when issuing out any parts. Track progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams or external service providers to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to equipment performance, maintenance costs, and inventory usage. Generate spending reports.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with MRO suppliers and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or concerns. Seek opportunities to optimize vendor relationships and identify potential cost savings.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, warranties, and service agreements. Update and organize documentation in relevant systems or databases.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance MRO efficiency, reduce costs, and improve equipment reliability. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in MRO practices.



Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • Strong knowledge of MRO procurement, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
