Overview
Physical Therapist Full Time Rock Island Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Perform Physical Therapy Evaluations. Establish Physical Therapy treatment plans. Treat patients in a variety of settings including: Acute Care, Transitional Care Unit, IP Acute Rehab, NSCU. Patient populations served include pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric. Provide patient/family education. Perform appropriate documentation in electronic medical record. Participate in patient care conferences/ staffing as appropriate. Supervise support personnel including Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Aides.
Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
- Perform Physical Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patient's physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations. A variety of diagnoses and settings served include but are not limited to Acute Care, Transitional Care Unit, IP Acute Rehab, and NSCU.
- Provide Physical Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistant and Rehab Aides.
- Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students as assigned by CCCE.
- Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions
- Participate in patient care conferences/ staffing as appropriate. Acute care- Complex Care meeting. Transitional Care Unit- Patient staffing. IP Acute Rehab- Patient staffing.
- Contribute to department and hospital process improvement.
Qualifications
Education:
- Certificate, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current IA and IL Physical Therapy licensure (or eligible).
- Current CPR certification.
