Job ID: 39336 | Location: Louisville, Kentucky, USA The Industrial Electro Maintenance Technician role encompasses many responsibilities, including maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to support the plant maintenance strategy. This job requires strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems. The primary emphasis is on ensuring safety and implementing preventive maintenance measures for production equipment to align with the site's business goals and objectives. This position often requires independent work or collaboration with production operators. The position will support the Catalyst Division at our West Plant in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities
- Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance work according to the schedule or as assigned for all West plant equipment.
- Ensure maintenance activities are executed, optimizing time, quality, and cost.
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with other departments. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company assets.
- Electro-Mechanical Technicians must communicate effectively with different team members, including managers, engineers, and operators. Inspect maintenance items to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Utilize CMMS for opening and closing out work orders, checking out spare parts, and performing other plant activities. Support maintaining all technical plant documentation. Support proper utilization of Management of Change.
- Participate in daily performance dialogue meetings and required team meetings.
- Help analyze equipment error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Support training operational personnel in technical matters.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (some college is a plus).
- Technical school training in Electrical-Mechanical discipline (formal training is a plus).
- 6+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance discipline is a must! Prefer strong electrical and some hands-on mechanical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, schematics, drawings.
- Must be capable of using everyday shop tools, micrometers, torque wrenches, calipers, drills, saws, meters, etc.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, PM module in ERP systems).
- Strong working knowledge of industrial equipment electrical/mechanical systems.
- Possess mechanical knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic operated equipment, precision shaft alignment.
- Basic understanding of rotating equipment and power transmission.
