JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research at the Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill three (3) vacancies for the role of Licensing Associate. This position will primarily assist with portfolio management within the principal areas of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences/Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences. This position will be located in State College, PA, and will report to the Assistant Director of Technology Licensing. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to the following:
Education and Experience: This job will be filled at an Intermediate Professional position. The minimum requirements are Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (such as Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Engineering) and 1+ years of relevant experience. The successful candidate(s) will have excellent time management skills, and abilities to conduct multiple projects and easily prioritize in a dynamic environment, excellent judgment and soft skills to interface with esteemed faculty members, senior business contacts, and investors, and a high level of dexterity to understand a diverse range of technologies arising from the University's $1.3 billion annual research base. A high interest and open mind to learn legal skills, to manage a portfolio, and to educate, guide, and make recommendations to the respective inventor(s) in achieving milestones is required.
