We are seeking a Technical Writer for our customer, County Materials in Marathon, WI. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply. As a Technical Writer, you will:
- Write and edit technical articles, social media captions, website copy, catalog copy, industry award submissions, and similar deliverables that support our organization's goals for precast and prestressed concrete construction product (B2B) sales.
- Conduct research utilizing internal and external resources to ensure accuracy and relevancy when crafting messages for targeted audiences which include engineers, architects, contractors, and construction professionals
- Collaborate with the Communications Channel and Marketing & Communications Department to develop feature stories
- Comply with Brand Guidelines, Style Guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and make recommendations to continually enhance these resources
- Stay current with B2B product offerings, writing best practices, and SEO
Work Environment
- Hybrid
- Some travel to company locations, job sites and customer offices based on project needs, predominantly day trips.

- Carrying/ Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- 3-5 years of work experience as a technical writer, communications specialist, engineer, construction project manager, or similar role
- Understands and utilizes concrete construction industry-specific terminology
- Ideal candidate possesses specialized concrete construction industry knowledge that facilitates effective communication among engineers, production teams, and end users
- Ability to communicate complex technical information with clear and accessible language and create a range of documents essential for business operations in the concrete construction industry
- Demonstrated technical writing skills. A writing portfolio is encouraged
- Possesses a creative, collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and knowledge of marketing, communications, and B2B sales
- Has unmatched attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in Office 365 and project management software (Wrike)
- Proactive, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record required
