A Day In The Life
As a Portfolio Strategy & Planning Lead, in our Data & Analytics organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our data and analytics initiatives drive meaningful and proven value to The Friedkin Group of companies. You will work with our business stakeholders, product owners, and corporate finance to ensure that each initiative has a clear and measurable business case, define and deliver agreed tracking of business impact, manage and report on program costs, and manage business case change throughout the delivery of our programs. By providing essential support to the D&A Project Management Office (PMO) and collaborating closely with project teams, you will drive enhancements in efficiency, standardization, and the adoption of best practices throughout the portfolio management lifecycle. Your contributions will be crucial in expanding the financial impact of the Data & Analytics organization.

As a Portfolio Strat Plan Lead you will:

  • Define, socialize and implement best practices in business impact estimation across the portfolio of projects.
  • Facilitate processes within the project ideation, scoping, development, and deployment phases that secure sign-off from key stakeholders and manage change in expected impact and or costs. Establish reporting mechanisms to track and convey business impact.
  • Track all program and project expenses to help control costs to meet budgetary commitments.
  • Establish processes to plan for new project costs and forecast existing program budgets.
  • Assist with resource allocation, capacity planning, and forecasting to optimize resource utilization within the Data & Analytics team.
  • Perform financial analyses and forecasting to guide decision-making processes and enhance the financial performance of the Data & Analytics team.
  • Support the Data & Analytics PMO to establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes, methodologies, and tools to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of project delivery for the Data & Analytics team.
  • Spearhead process improvements that bolster the Data & Analytics team effectiveness and enhance Employee Engagement.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field Req
  • 5+ years of experience in a role supporting planning, budgets, communications, and operational needs within IT teams, with a strong preference for experience in Data and Analytics environments.
  • Experience managing software development budgets and financial planning.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of dissecting complex data and delivering actionable insights.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with project management methodologies, tools (such as MS Project, JIRA, or Asana), and techniques. Experience in agile, scrum, or lean methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with cloud-based project management software systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Preferred - Experience supporting the fiscal responsibility and program management of a Data & Analytics organization.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile Preferred

Travel Requirements
20% The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business.
