Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Vice President, Information Technology (IT) Operations and Infrastructure within Peraton's Information Technology Office. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this VP will lead a high performing team of technology professionals who have responsibility for delivering a resilient technology ecosystem, creating a productive and collaborative technology experience for Peraton employees, and empowering business transformation through technology. While this opportunity can be remote, it is preferred to reside within the DC Metro area.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Lead, manage, and evolve Peraton's IT Operations and Infrastructure Program to continually advance service levels and support the foundational technology needs of the business
  • Oversee a team of approximately 60 high-performing technical personnel responsible for engineering and operations of network, storage, compute and endpoint infrastructure, identity and access management, and collaboration technologies, in unclassified and classified environments
  • Lead strategic planning activities around infrastructure modernization to include: service monitoring, increased virtualization, advancing collaboration, and streamlining the technology footprint
  • Maintain and operate within a cost-effective IT budget, to include supporting routine budget planning and forecasting reviews
  • Define and communicate technology priorities for the organization based on business impact, risk, cost efficiency, and overall business requirements
  • Work in partnership with the Chief Architect on design and execution of virtualized data center and cloud transformation planning
  • Lead the integration of technology systems across heritage companies that have come together through merger and acquisition to one integrated company
  • Work in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer on the design and execution of security controls to enhance detection and protection of data across the enterprise, and to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and contractual cybersecurity requirements


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience leading IT engineering and/or operations functions across core technology domains to include: network, telecom, storage, compute, data center, cloud, identity management and collaboration
  • Demonstrated success with complex technology implementations
  • Demonstrated success with the implementation of mature service level management and delivery practices
  • Experience with applicable technology and cybersecurity requirements associated with the Federal government and/or affiliated contractors
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent executive level oral and written communications skills
  • US Citizenship

Prior Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with integration of systems and networks as a result of corporate merger and acquisition activity
  • Experience with large scale data center virtualization and cloud migration efforts
  • Experience with agile delivery models
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong teams; recruit top talent and develop colleagues of all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Current Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
