Job Summary:
Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Coordinator to manage financial and payroll activities. This role involves close collaboration with finance team members to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with some remote work and some onsite work each week. More information about the hybrid schedule will be discussed during the interview. The target hiring range for this position will be between $51,346 - $72,532 per year. The salary offered will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Specific Responsibilities
- Financial: Process financial transactions for Weinberg units and serve as a point of contact for the shared services team. Serve as a liaison to central financial units to ensure that financial transactions are processed. Provide financial transaction oversight support. Generate financial reports for reconciliation. Provide financial policy guidance to administrators. Manage and maintain the transaction intake database system identifying service improvement opportunities.
- Payroll Management: Process and reconcile payroll transactions including new and continuing hires and record updates. Review payroll transaction documentation for accuracy providing improvement guidance. Collaborate with Weinberg and central administrative units during the salary planning process. Reconcile payroll record and funding data. Review and maintain appointment database trackers and identifying process improvements.
- Compliance: Interpret and maintain compliance with all financial regulations, university policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
- Administration: Onboard and train new team members while fostering and maintaining service relationships with various departments, programs, and stakeholders. Collect and deliver financial and payroll transaction activity reports and ensure regular updates of transaction trackers to maintain accuracy.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field; or 2 years financial administration work experience; or equivalent combination education and experience where similar knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired.
- 1 year financial, budgeting &/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements along with financial analysis experience
