The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Joint Training & Exercise Planner. Responsibilities The contract staff member will support HQ USSPACECOM Joint Space Operations Force Development Directorate, which enhances command readiness and mission performance through joint exercises, wargames, training, and assessments. Contractor support is required in the J7 to support the core requirements in the Joint Exercise and Training Division for managing individual training, certifying Joint Operations Center (JOC) crews, managing the Joint Training System, and developing the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for USSPACECOM Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises. Key duties associated with this position include but are not limited to: Develop and manage the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for HQ USSPACECOM Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises including the planning, development, execution, and analysis of joint exercises along with planning, coordinating, preparing, and implementing USSPACECOM Joint Exercises and support to other Combatant Command exercises. Joint exercises events may include current and future Calendar/Fiscal Year (FY) planning and coordination activities. Perform intelligence planning and Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) in support of campaign, deliberate, and crisis action planning.
