Job Description

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to work from our location in Troy, Michigan. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position is responsible for identifying, qualifying, contacting and developing sales prospects for our ERP/MES software. The SDR will attempt contact with prospects utilizing multiple prospecting channels including our Salesforce Customer Relationship Management tool, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outbound lists, etc. The SDR position requires both phone and email contact with mid-management and C-level executives at appropriate manufacturing companies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Initiate communication with prospects by telephone and e-mail.
  • Generate and qualify new leads.
  • Gather data regarding markets and industries, utilizing best technology and information resources.
  • Develop prospect relationships.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Prepare reports from the CRM system and other software systems.
  • Work as a team with members of the Sales Development department and the Sales and Marketing groups.
  • Utilize Sales Navigator on LinkedIn to identify and contact multiple prospects within a company.
  • Make approximately 45 calls per day to prospects utilizing internal Groove software for all calls.
  • Achieve preset quota for number of qualified leads sent to field monthly.
  • Add new prospects weekly using ZoomInfo and LinkedIn that are not in CRM.
  • Record all contacts made via email, phone in, tradeshows, etc in CRM.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • High School Degree or GED.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You May Also Have:

  • 1+ years of experience within a sales organization.
  • Must be a team player who embraces personal and professional responsibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficient with sales tracking/SalesForce CRM software.
  • Sound understanding of business functions.
  • Strong command and comprehension of the Spanish language, spoken and written, a plus.
  • Experience cold calling into potential customers.
  • Technical sales experience.
  • Mid-range ERP software sales experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and nomenclature.
