Position Description

This position is responsible for supporting Modine product manufacturing, focusing on costing of production processes, materials, and capital equipment. This opportunity will be a full-time, temporary position occurring during the summer semester. The assignment lasts for the Summer term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete projects and tasks related to various engineering activities such as:
  • Production
  • New Product Release process review & labor routing completion
  • Enhance engineering tools and processes to make the engineering functions more efficient.
  • Conduct plant labor audits or time studies
  • Gain SAP software experience working with Modine production systems
  • Product Quotation
  • Tooling and equipment review and purchase
  • Development and adherence to timeline
  • APQP process documentation
  • Gain practical engineering experience by working with others in problem solving activities.
  • Become familiar with the products and processes used within the department and / or company.
Required Education & Qualifications

Sophomore standing in industrial or mechanical engineering degree program

Possess strong engineering skills

Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word) Ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to learn, Good decision making skills,

Mechanically inclined Dedicated to quality and safety

Solid communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work in a team environment
