Job Summary:

As an individual contributor, the Clinical Field Experience Facilitator is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in support of high-volume placement efforts and all associated placement requirements. The incumbent is skilled at being multi-faceted in one's approach to researching, documenting, and communicating across multiple sources. Under the general direction from the immediate manager, the employee is a subject matter expert whose work will have direct impact on students and team objectives as well as department goals and is charged with taking initiative and acting independently on situational matters and other needs that may arise outside of standard assignments.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field
  • Agility using MS Office products/software and easily learn new technology
  • Two (2) years of experience providing high quality customer service within education, clinical experience, sales, or a related field, developing and maintaining relationships with outside stakeholders using Customer Management Relationship (CRM) systems, i.e. Salesforce

Office Requirements:

  • Able to travel 5-10% of time to various locations and to Salt Lake City, UT
  • Sit/stand for prolonged periods at computer/laptop and manage calls
  • Adapt schedule as necessary to include nights and/or weekends
  • Provide a quiet and professional area to work and be on camera

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with school districts, school administrators, and host teachers to create access for initial licensure and advanced program students to complete clinical experiences in their local communities
  • Negotiate and resolve concerns that impact all stakeholders using effective conflict resolution skills, negotiation skills, professional communication, and urgency
  • Navigate highly complex clinical experience situations that require leadership, professional judgment, and discretion
  • Determine where to place students based on previous interactions, partnerships, agreements, and proximity to students to ensure that student needs, timelines, and accreditation requirements are met
  • Maintain complete knowledge and understanding of WGU licensure requirements, programs, policies, and evolving state mandates and accreditation criteria, and be able to effectively explain the model to education partners
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required for interacting with school districts, school administration, host teachers, students, and WGU faculty members
  • Ability to manage time effectively and shift priorities as needed to ensure that deliverables are completed within expected timeframes
  • Properly document all interactions in detail including phone calls, emails, and meetings to ensure that all information is accounted for on student records in student relationship management system
  • Interpret data to develop action plans that ensure accuracy on all student records
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the student journey is efficient and student-centered, and collaborate within the department to ensure that all aspects of the clinical experience are seamless and demonstrate our student obsession
  • Project a professional presence in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders to earn trust and confidence in our work
  • Lead innovative projects and facilitate committees that improve our processes and deliver better results
  • Participate in delivering training and ongoing support for new team members
  • Complete other projects as assigned

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Pay Range: $49,800.00 - $74,600.00
