1 Year Application Window Open date: November 14, 2024 Next review date: Saturday, Dec 14, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Saturday, Dec 14, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Master of Quantitative Economics (MQE) Program at UCLA invites highly qualified applicants to the Assistant Director of Applied Projects & MQE Quant Lab position effective immediately. This is a full-time, one-year contract position (with possibility to extend). Responsibilities will include designing and delivering applied workshop and technical training activities, supervising applied student projects, and contributing to the MQE Quant Lab. Design hands-on workshops, tutorials, training materials, and assessments to help students apply their academic knowledge to solve complex business problems. Generate and support applied project partnerships with outside firms. Conduct complex financial analysis and generate reports summarizing results. Advise and oversee MQE students involved in the Quant Lab. Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree in a quantitative field. Ability to conduct financial research and financial analysis using complex data sets. Must be proficient in Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, and other analytics tools. Ability to develop high-impact educational programming as well as translate applied learnings into creative real-world practices through collaborative partnerships. Ability to design and deliver effective trainings and workshops. Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and training to masters-level students. Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills to convey complex concepts to applied practice. Self-starter with a team-player attitude.
