Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, organize, and manage activities related to manufacturing (fabrication, machining, and assembly).

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and personnel, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
* Review production schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning staffing requirements, work procedures, and work assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
* Drive continuous improvement through use of Root Cause Corrective Action tools and the implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
* Improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
* Set and monitor production standards to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality, are delivered on time, and meet budget requirements.
* Develop and implement production tracking and quality control reporting systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
* Prepare and maintain production and status reports.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment, observes and follows safety policies, wears appropriate and prescribed personal protective equipment as required.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor of Science Degree plus a minimum ten (10) years manufacturing experience encompassing fabrication, machining, assembly, and test; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Five (5) years management/supervisory experience.
* Fundamental understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Flow/Cellular manufacturing.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
* Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar business management software.
* Understanding of the logic of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning).
* Working knowledge of Enovia or similar document management software.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
