- Implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness
- Manages Patient Care Delivery through organization of workload by prioritizing the care of multiple patients assuring resources and coordination of plan of care
- Monitor's accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members in implementation of plan of care
- Identifies and addresses educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems according to level of comprehension
- Verbalizes a concise and accurate report in support of continuity of care.
- Provides input into patient/nurse assignments in consideration of available staffing, unit activity and patient acuity
- Assures nursing excellence in accordance with accepted standards, evidence -based practice, current research, and caring philosophy
- Displays compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy in relation to others
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, or an Associate's Degree in Nursing for initial hire but must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years
- Basic Life Support
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia
