Job Description: Baptist Health outpatient oncology, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment. Our cancer center offers medical oncology, infusion therapy, radiation oncology, and genetic counseling. We also provide nutritional counseling, palliative care, psychological support, and access to support services. - Implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness
- Manages Patient Care Delivery through organization of workload by prioritizing the care of multiple patients assuring resources and coordination of plan of care
- Monitor's accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members in implementation of plan of care
- Identifies and addresses educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems according to level of comprehension
- Verbalizes a concise and accurate report in support of continuity of care.
- Provides input into patient/nurse assignments in consideration of available staffing, unit activity and patient acuity
- Assures nursing excellence in accordance with accepted standards, evidence -based practice, current research, and caring philosophy
- Displays compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy in relation to others
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, or an Associate's Degree in Nursing for initial hire but must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years
- Basic Life Support
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia
