Student Well-Being Job Description
The Director of Student Well-Being leads all programs, services, and functions essential to supporting the overall well-being of Missouri S&T students. This role involves overseeing all department operations, managing professional and support staff, and providing functional supervision for student employees and peer educators. The Director promotes and integrates health and wellness services, fostering holistic and collaborative approaches to student well-being. This position collaborates with key campus and community stakeholders to increase awareness and reduce health and wellness risks. The Director is responsible for campus counseling, prevention, programming, training, and wellness promotion, and ensures departmental compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities
Supervision Received Work is guided by university policies and procedures. Reports directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Health and Well-Being. Supervision Exercised Direct supervision of wellness and counseling staff, including Wellness Coordinators, Case Managers, and other non-counseling personnel. Provides indirect supervision for student employees and peer educators. Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 7 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $90,000-$105,000 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
