Cox Communications is looking for a Competitive Strategy Analyst who is creative and curious about competitor analytics, capability building and continuous improvement. This role will support and influence our competitive decisioning through analyzing competitor and Cox data including service availability and competitive pricing/promotions. The Analyst will also support tool development and capability expansion to support key business partners. The candidate will work closely with teams across the company including Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Product, Technology, Finance, and others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a competitive intel analytics expert reporting to the Director of Competitive Analytics
  • Develop, update, and maintain queries in Snowflake environment using SQL or Python for analysis and ongoing reports and dashboards.
  • Develop innovative methods, and tools to analyze, forecast, and present key competitive trends
  • Identify patterns, correlations, and trends to develop a data story
  • Ability to quickly become a subject matter expert on competitive analytics; assisting partner teams and representing Competitive Intel in cross-functional workstreams
  • Articulate insights, findings, and recommendations to internal customers with ease.
  • Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of Cox's and Competitors' products.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Qualifications:

Minimum

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline (i.e. Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) with generally less than 2 years of experience required in a related field (i.e. Technology, Pricing, Product Management), OR 4 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Requires strong knowledge of quantitative tools including Excel, Tableau, Thoughtspot, PowerBI, etc.
  • Proficiency with analytical and coding languages such as SQL or Python
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Comfort drawing insight from multiple data sources


Preferred

  • Experience in telecom industry desired.
  • Experience with data modeling and analytics preferred.
  • Advanced level in at least one of: SQL, Python
  • An understanding of database platforms such as AWS and/or Snowflake preferred.


USD 53,200.00 - 79,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $53,200.00 - $79,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:
