Job Responsibility
Performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D. Performs sample preparation techniques for projects of processing equipment. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products. Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
Major roles and responsibilities;
  • Provides engineering support mainly execution of requests accurately and communication of outcomes for customer process demonstrations or internal projects
  • Determines appropriate sample preparation technique and prepares samples for projects including wafer cleaving, coating, mounting/unmounting and assembly of wafers
  • Creates new or modifies process recipe formulations and executes processing requirements on Lam proprietary tools
  • Determines appropriate metrology method needed while taking into consideration the image quality requirements and feature of interest for the inspection of the cleaved as well as whole wafers
  • Executes requests under optimal imaging conditions on the metrology tools such as thin film ellipsometers, and SEM tools after training Implements process monitoring for different tool sets, compiles
  • Evaluates test data to compare to appropriate process limits or materials specification Interface with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting, assist with tool performance checks and general clean room lab operations
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate priorities, comfortable working with different web applications to log data and communicate effectively
  • May provide informal guidance and support to junior team members
Here's what you will receive:
Pay: $42.15 p/hr.
Duration: 2-year contract
Schedule: Swing Shift- Tuesday-Sat 2pm - 10:30 pm
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electronics, material science, chemistry, physics
  • 4+ years' experience in the semiconductor industry, building and troubleshooting
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Operate computer interface and navigate diagnostic software
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Effectively read, write, and communicate with others in English
  • Ability to work shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear) if needed
  • Preferred cleanroom or general lab experience related to the semiconductor industry, plasma or wet etching Preferred experience with thin film/semiconductor sample preparation, SEM imaging, and microscopy work A genuine interest in advanced technology and an ongoing desire to learn consistently demonstrates the ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities (ex., rework, overtime)
