The Position
Department Summary We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2025 Genentech Community College Internship Program. This post is for operations-based roles. There are separate posts for other roles. Our program is designed to foster diversity in our talent pipeline and to expose students from underrepresented groups to STEM career paths. The goal of the program is to train entry-level candidates with skills that will enable them pursue a career in the biopharma industry. This internship is located in South San Francisco, CA. The Opportunity As an intern, you will perform various tasks under the guidance and mentorship of your manager. You will be expected to attend meetings, read independently on relevant topics, follow a training schedule set by your manager, and perform tasks independently as appropriate. You will also be expected to summarize the purpose of your work and any findings, and you will present future recommendations in the form of an oral and poster presentation. Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship Program start dates are between May and June 2025 Ownership of impactful business-critical projects (Topics may include but are not limited to: project management, demand/supply planning, GxP supplier quality update, CDMO management) Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries at the global scale Final presentations of project work to senior leaders Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, such as networking opportunities, workshops, tours, and panel discussions
Who You Are
Required Education: Community college affiliate (currently enrolled at a community college OR terminal A.S./A.A. degree holder within 1.5 years post-graduation at the time of application). Applicants must be age 18 or older for this opportunity Must have a high school diploma or GED at the time of application Preferred Majors/Coursework: STEM major with coursework in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Biomanufacturing, Bioengineering, Business or similar.

Preferred (but not mandatory) skills: Please note: The goal of the internship will be to train you. The following skills will give you an idea of different opportunities. You do NOT need to have all of these skills in order to apply. Not all internships will use all these skills.
Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, or industry standards routinely used in the pharma industry (ISO, Federal Standards, etc.) Familiarity with spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel with a basic understanding of how to organize data and use them to do calculations Experience with presentations using programs like Google Slides or PowerPoint Time management: organizing to-do lists, setting priorities, and following through to meet goals and deadlines Experience with organizational software: Google calendar or others

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $23-$33 hourly. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
