The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention. SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Engineering Intern to provide acquisition and operations support to Nuclear Weapon Security (NWS) capabilities for the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) office. The support would be provided from our company HQ in Alexandria, VA. The option to telework part-time is also available. Timeline for intern selection:

Responsibilities The SPA intern will be one of several interns providing support to SPA's Navy customer, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) supporting multiple systems engineering and program management functions. Intern position will start at the end of May 2025. The intern will work 40-hour weeks at SPA HQ with the SPA Systems Engineering support team. SPA considers successful interns for full-time employment. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern. Interns work under the overall cognizance of an SPA program manager while daily tasking will be from Project Leads on the Systems Engineering team. Tasks are related to the engineering management of the Navy's Trident II missile program and include technical, administrative, organizational, and tracking functions.
