The RoleThe Director of Indirect Procurement is responsible for leading a high performing team with responsibility for the strategic relationship with suppliers and partners within the Indirect spend categories. Accountable for cost/quality/service, supplier controls, development of commodity strategies, contract negotiations, productivity initiatives, supplier selection/bid processes and sourcing projects. Provides guidance and oversight to the team and leads/develops team members in times of ambiguity. The Director will lead the global indirect procurement council to foster collaboration across the regions, leveraging best practices and knowledge sharing. Responsible for leadership of the team, including alignment to corporate goals, tracking team performance, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, optimizing processes and procedures and problem resolution with vendors. LOCATION: Hybrid - East Coast Time Zone. Rochester, NY or Raritan, NJ preferred. The Responsibilities
The work environment is representative of both an office and manufacturing setting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:No strenuous physical activity. General office environment with some time spent in warehouse and manufacturing areas. Some travel required depending on assigned project(s), up to 30%. Flexible work hours required to meet project deadlines. Salary TransparencyThe salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $218,000.00 annually.
