Summary:
The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for the cognitive therapy services provided at Rogers Behavioral Health (RBH) according to the established standards of care. The Clinical Services Supervisor works directly with Behavior Specialists and Therapists who facilitate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to train, coach and develop behavior specialist staff providing cognitive behavioral services. With direct service involvement, this position has a comprehensive understanding of how the programs operate. This employee works in concert with clinical and administrative supervisors on performance improvement activities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Direct service and supervision.
- Provide direct cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services to program patients according to clinical standards of care.
- Provide supervision and promote the professional development of behavioral specialists working with patients assigned to cognitive behavioral therapy programs.
- Support clinical staff in leading staffing orienting to the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy services.
- Maintain and assure consistent service delivery for patients receiving cognitive behavioral therapy according to the established standards of care.
- Develop program materials in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services; i.e., handouts, fact sheets, manuals.
- Participate in weekly supervision sessions with the clinical program director and communicate with the Director of Clinical Services on an ongoing basis regarding clinical issues.
- Offer ongoing training, support and coaching to staff members less familiar with the cognitive behavioral therapy model.
- Participate in RBH program research activities.
Document Clinical Supervision.
- Document weekly supervision of clinicians delivering cognitive behavioral therapy treatments.
- Assure documentation of treatment plans, hierarchies and psychosocial information and completeness of the medical record.
- Conduct periodic record audits of medical records to assure proper documentation for patients receiving cognitive behavioral therapy.
Communication.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Communicate with aftercare providers to ensure continuity of care, if warranted.
- Communicate with the Utilization Review department to provide information necessary to assist in facilitate payment for services, if warranted.
- Establish and maintain strong lines of communication with program managers related to cognitive behavioral programming.

- Involve self in the learning and application of standards relevant to the partial hospital program.
- Demonstrate understanding of partial hospital regulations and protocol.
- Participate in in-services, seminars, and other meetings to increase involvement and awareness of regulations.
- Involve self in the education of other disciplines. Provide formal training related to cognitive behavioral therapy following the established standards of care and in coordination with Talent Development.
Participate in and facilitate initiatives of the Rogers' Improvement System (RIS).
- Educate and involve self in the clinic's performance improvement plans.
- Participate in team huddles, educate, and involve clinic staff in Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI).
- Apply the RIS model to the clinical functions within the clinic.
- Participate in and/or create Improvement System teams that lead to the improvement of hospital and clinic services.
Participate in the Performance Improvement (PI) program.
- Gain understanding of the PI process.
- Apply the PI model to your department's activities.
- Participate and/or create PI teams that lead to improvement in other RBH areas.
- Educate and involve self in the hospital and department's PI plans.
Conduct self in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate organizational skills that promote timely response to all inquiries and to task completion.
- Communicate with all individuals in a positive and professional manner.

Additional Job Description: Education/Training Requirements:
- Master's degree required in the behavioral sciences.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- Formal self-defense training is required within sixty (60) days of the date of hire/transfer. Annual recertification is required.
- Licensure consistent with academic preparation at the time of hire or secured within an agreed-upon time period.
- Experience in conducting clinical research and/or outcome studies.
Compensation for this role is between $83,101.20 and $131,192.88, and placement in the range will vary based on years' experience, and education.
