Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Training Coordinator for the The Title IX Office at the SA-Dean of Students department.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Trains, educates, and handles outreach on university policies related to sexual harassment, sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and related misconduct.
  • Implements and monitors mandatory new student online learning modules on sexual violence prevention.
  • Conducts intake meetings and provide supportive measures with/for students (namely Complainants and Respondents) reporting or otherwise involved in allegations of sexual harassment, sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and related misconduct.
  • Performs additional tasks within the Office of Student Affairs Compliance & Title IX on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent public speaking skills and experience providing training and/or presentations in a professional setting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to listen well and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for diversity and individual needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals accused of interpersonal violence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IX & VAWA.
  • Proficiency in using case management software, such as Maxient and/or Titanium.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information in compliance with all applicable laws (i.e. Title IX, VAWA, FERPA, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking skills and ability to maintain privacy and neutrality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, social work or a related field.
  • Experience working with students in a higher education environment.
  • Experience with tracking and maintaining data and developing reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of tools for managing and presenting data.

Equipment Utilized

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • WordPress.
  • Maxient Database.
