SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and overhaul work on electronic/electromechanical equipment. Position will read and interpret electronic schematics and identify components to manage projects. Maintain an attitude of Continuous Improvement, make improvement suggestions. Maximize efficiency through prioritization and multitasking.

START DATE FOR THIS ROLE IS IN JANUARY OF 2025.

THIS WILL BE A 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT OPPORTUNITY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Must be highly mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as defined per instruction and assigned intervals.
  • Inspect equipment for defects and plan for solutions to prevent downtime
  • Maintain electronic/electromechanical equipment to ensure it is in optimal running condition.
  • Able to work independently or as team member to achieve goals and initiatives.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Maintain safety and functionality of components, tools, and equipment.
  • General housekeeping around the shop and maintain safe work environment.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Technical degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Basic math skills. Basic electrical skills Basic computer skills
  • Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and processes is a plus.
  • Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity.

  • General programming (Vision, Robotics)

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • The Team Member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is usually in an indoor concrete floored Manufacturing environment. Personal Protective Equipment will be defined by specific work areas.
