The Production Planner/Expeditor will have a focus on future production, review inventory, and ensure supply is availabile to support production and spares schedules. The selected candidate will coordiante with procurement team and ensure parts will be available for production. This position will look 60+ days ahead during forecasting and also support and lead near-term issues. The individual will also be responsbile for coordination with production supervisors during morning and afternoon production meetings discussing part status.
Essential Functions: Communication across multiple functions to resolve part availability issues. Communication with production teams to plan build schedules. Ability to generate reports and analyze data. Ability to summarize data from a report and gain status of most critical items. Coordinate with supply chain and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints. Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock audits to minimize shortages and excess. Analyze production data and adjust plans as needed to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to resolve any material-related issues. Prepare reports on production performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics. Assist in the continuous improvement of production processes and material handling procedures. Level/pay for this position will be commensurate will education/experience. Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operation Management or related field with 6 years experience in production planning, materials management or equivalent. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field with 4+ years experience in production planning, materials management or equivalent. Proficiency in ERP systems.
