The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Rheumatology, is seeking a Pediatric Rheumatologist to provide oversight and medical management of children with Rheumatologic diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and to participate in the education of students and residents in accordance with the mission of the University of Colorado School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics. Key Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Share in all of the clinical, teaching and scholarly activities of the Section on Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics.
- Staff clinic sessions at Children's Hospital Colorado and outreach program sites as assigned

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- MD/DO
- Completed ACGME approved Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship
- Training
- Board Certified or Eligible for certification in Pediatric Rheumatology
Condition of Employment:
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, academic health care setting.
- Ability to function independently in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consult settings.
- Interest in teaching and mentoring trainees
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in performance of physical examinations relevant to rheumatologic care
- Comprehensive knowledge of rheumatologic conditions and medications appropriate for care of such patients
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and consulting services
- Ability to educate others

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $171,500 The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
