Description

Benchmark is a national leader in providing programs to individuals with disabilities and behavior health needs. Our South Bend, IN location is seeking a qualified Client Financial Specialist, successful applicants will attend paid training to obtain required certifications.

The Client Financial Specialist will be responsible for reconciliation/maintenance of consumer bank accounts and timely payment of all consumer bills. This position will also provide training to staff on MANDT, First Aid, and CPR, departmental orientation, and other trainings as requested, provide administrative support to the Director to include developing tracking grids to monitor required trainings, required documentation, and completing audits on files/documentation, and monitor the accuracy and timely filing of documents.

ESSENTTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the consumer bank accounts/reconciliations.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly financial packets for consumers.
  • Prepare financial reports on consumer finances as requested.
  • Responsible for tracking and auditing required trainings
  • Responsible for auditing and monitoring required documentation.
  • Prepare training packets and materials for all required trainings.
  • Comply with all confidentiality and HIPAA policies to protect information of staff and consumers.
  • Be familiar with all house schedules and assist scheduler as needed with filling open shifts.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Responsible for being familiar with the schedules and being a back-up to the scheduler.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and developing tracking grids/spreadsheets
  • Ability to interact with staff, consumers and others in the community in a positive manner
  • Possess good presentation skills
  • Excellent organization skills; ability to multi-task and handle details

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Two years' experience in accounting or managing client finances
  • Two-year Supervisory experience
