The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Practice Administrator for the department of Surgery division of Pediatric Surgery directs and maintains management of clinical operational issues for the practice. Reports directly to the Division Chief and Director of Practice Operations.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for day-to-day operations at MSCHONY.
  • Oversee practice administrative assistants and assist all faculty, clinical and research staff as needed.
  • Responsible for team meeting all front-end practice and revenue metrics.
  • Ensure division is meeting budgeted revenue by working closely with department billing team to enhance revenue and capture all payment opportunities.
  • Responsible for working missing charge/deferred reports to ensure timely submission of charges.
  • Oversee all Epic workques and ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Maintain provider templates accuracy.
  • Analysis of OR Utilization for the Surgeons in the division at MSCHONY and soon ASC 1111 building.
  • Ensure timely submission and processing of all invoices
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and implement patient experience enhancement processes as needed.
  • Hold regular staff and faculty meetings for feedback, problem solving, ensure compliance and productivity to meet established benchmarks of the clinical operation.
  • Work closely with Division Chief and all faculty to ensure needs are being met including support for academic duties.
  • Collaborate with offsite locations management to ensure optimal delivery of service.
  • Approve and process invoices for Division with Division Chief oversight.
  • Manage ordering of all office and medical supplies/equipment for clinical space.
  • Responsible for timesheets and annual evaluations for all staff both Columbia and Service Corporation
  • Responsible for all Faculty credentialing.
  • Responsible for maintenance and distribution of monthly faculty and fellow call schedule
  • Support marketing and social media efforts to enhance referral base, outreach and program expansion.


Minimum Qualifications




  • Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and 4 yrs of related experience




Preferred Qualifications



  • Masters in management preferred


Other Requirements



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in specific hospital systems (EPIC).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
