GENERAL FUNCTION
The Commercial Terms Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing deal pipelines from initial submission to final approval of commercial terms for ECP customers. This role involves coordinating with sales, legal, finance, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of deals while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and tracks the deal pipeline within our internal Discount Arrangement Request Template (DART) system, ensuring all deals progress through the commercial terms approval process efficiently
- Coordinates with sales teams to gather required information and documentation for each deals, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Reviews Commercial Terms and ensures all deal information is complete so that submitted DART(s) can be reviewed and aligned with company guidelines and profitability targets
- Lead Strategic Alliance submission to Finance, including tracking progress and providing additional information while working with the field sales teams
- Submit and track sponsorship payments to customers
- Collaborates with legal, finance, and other departments to address and resolve any issues, questions, or concerns related to commercial terms
- Provide regular updates and reports on the status of the deal pipeline, highlighting any bottlenecks or areas of attention
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to the deal management process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure all deals comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Other duties as assigned by VP of Sales and upper leadership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years in external customer deal management, sales operations, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of commercial terms and contract negotiation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
