UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources Department. The position is a REMOTE, full-time opportunity located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. *Please note, selected candidate must have a permanent address and live in New Mexico or be willing to relocate to New Mexico* The Human Resources team at the UNM Medical Group consists of twelve team members who pride themselves on being a team that works together to serve the HR needs of the UNM Medical Group, Inc. Minimum $83,283 - Midpoint $106,121* *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Summary: Under limited supervision, provides specialized, professional, and operational support in compensation analysis, strategy, and program administration. Conducts market analyses, evaluates pay practices, and provides data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. Responsible for maintaining compensation structures, participating in compensation surveys, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. Minimum Job Requirements of a Senior Compensation Analyst: High school diploma or GED; at least 9 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire. Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Compensation Analyst: 1. Researches and analyzes various compensation-related issues and provides recommendations for problem resolution. 2. Designs, manages, and maintains compensation data and systems to support employee movement, job evaluations, and compensation adjustments within the organization. 3. Partners with HR and Finance teams to determine compensation needs, develops or modifies processes, and provides accurate data outputs for decision-making. 4. Conducts and presents complex data analyses, ad hoc reports, and market studies; identifies and recommends process improvements. 5. Participates in the development and implementation of compensation strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure competitive positioning and internal equity. 6. Assists in the administration of annual merit review processes, salary structure updates, and incentive programs. 7. Conducts studies and compiles statistics, such as turnover and salary progression, to inform compensation policies and address potential issues. 8. Participates in market surveys, evaluates survey data, and recommends salary ranges, adjustments, and hiring rates. 9. Ensures compliance with relevant federal and state regulations, including FLSA, and maintains updated documentation and process standards. 10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
